Limited-edition cars are often something truly special. They usually flaunt extra features over standard versions of cars or are produced to mark a special occasion of a vehicle. A handful of them are also truly unique.

This list contains ten of the best limited-edition cars, many of which are one-of-a-kind. We’ve kept the list as varied as possible to give you a good idea of just how unique limited-edition cars can be.

Alpine A110 Tour de Corse 75

One of the more recent special editions on this list is the striking Alpine A110 Tour de Corse 75. Produced in 2023, its unique paint job was designed to celebrate the famous tarmac rally of the same name, with Alpine producing just 150 of these special editions.

The car is also based on the Alpine A110 that raced in the famous 1975 race. The Tour de Corse 75 A110 has no performance upgrades over the standard A110 S, but it still boasts 300 horsepower, and it is, of course, just as fun to drive as every other A110.

Mazda RX-7 Bathurst R

The Mazda RX-7 is seen as one of the best Japanese cars of all time, particularly in FD form, which was the final incarnation of this incredible sports car. Just before it bowed out, Mazda decided to build a special version of the RX-7 to commemorate its success at the Bathurst 12 Hours in Australia.

This was the Mazda RX-7 Bathurst R, a version of the RX-7 featuring the highest power-to-weight ratio of any RX-7. Only 500 were produced, all for the Japanese market. This means they are some of the rarest RX-7s ever made, and they are only available outside of Japan if you are able to import one.

Bugatti Chiron La Voiture Noire

The Bugatti Chiron La Voiture Noire is a unique, one-off edition of the hypercar built in 2019. Using the Chiron as its basis, it pays tribute to the Type 57 SC Atlantic of the same name. This was an all-black Type 57 SC that went missing at the outbreak of World War II and hasn’t been seen since.

The modern reincarnation features the same 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 as the Chiron, producing up to 1,578 horsepower. The special edition has an amazing hand-built body made out of carbon fiber, designed by the company’s designer, Etienne Salome.

Audi TT Roadster Final Edition

Audi recently bid farewell to the mighty TT sports car, and the TT Roadster Final Edition was one of the final versions of the vehicle ever to leave the factory. Audi limited its production run with just 50 units made available in the United States, featuring exclusives such as its Goodwood Green Pearl effect and a luxurious Palomino Brown interior.

This final edition’s power came from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which produced 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The combination of this, its new color, and extras, such as its new wheel design, made it the perfect sendoff for the TT Roadster.

Ford Mustang Boss 429

In the late 1960s, Ford was looking to homologate a new NASCAR engine and try to fight back against increasing competition. The hope was that they could also provide a big-block alternative to the Boss 302 Mustang, and thus, the outstanding Ford Mustang Boss 429 was born.

The 7.0-liter Ford 385 V8 itself was massive, and the Mustang’s engine bay needed to be adjusted to accommodate it. It was also too heavy for competitive racing, so in the end, Ford produced just a handful of Boss 429s to sell to the public, and these are some of the rarest classic Mustangs on the market.

Kimera Evo 37

The gorgeous Kimera Evo 37 is a unique restomod supercar by Kimera Automobili, based on the iconic Lancia 037 of the 1980s. Production began in 2021 and continued in 2024, with the new 037’s power coming from a 2.1-liter twin-charged inline-four.

Kimera has produced an even more exclusive Evo 37 in the form of the Martini 7. This pays direct homage to the Lancia 037 that won the 1983 World Rally Championship. The twin-charged engine under the hood of the Martini 7 produces 542 horsepower, up 49 horsepower over the original Evo 37.

Lamborghini Gallardo Balboni

The Lamborghini Gallardo is already a monster of a supercar, but the Lamborghini went one better when they created the striking Gallardo Balboni in 2010. This was named after the legendary Valentino Balboni, the man who, for decades, was Lamborghini’s chief test driver and was responsible for some of its greatest hits, like the Murcielago.

The Gallardo Balboni was announced at Balboni’s retirement. It has a 5.2-liter V10 producing 550 horsepower, and a manual transmission was even an option.

Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster

Pagani produced so many unique versions of the Zonda simply due to its popularity and the fact that the model refused to die. But even more limited than some of those was the Zonda Cinque Coupe of 2009-2010. This extra-special Zonda had a carbo-titanium monocoque chassis and a brilliant paddle-shift transmission.

As with all other Zondas, power came from a 7.3-liter Mercedes-Benz V12, producing 669 horsepower and a top speed of 217 mph. Pagani built five Roadsters and five Coupes of the Cinque, meaning they are rare to pop up for sale.

Vauxhall VX220 Turbo

Vauxhalls of the modern era have a particular reputation, yet when the company really puts its mind to it, it could produce a fantastic little car. Easily the best of the last twenty years is the CX220 turbo, produced from 2004 to 2005.

Also known as the Opel Speedster, the CX220 Turbo wasn’t quite the success Vauxhall had hoped for, making it quite rare in 2024. However, its little 2.0-liter turbocharged engine produced 200 horsepower, and with its lightweight chassis, the VX220 was just as fun to drive as the contemporary Porsche 911. It could even outrun it from 0 to 60 mph, achieving this in just 4.7 seconds.

Dodge Charger & Challenger ‘Last Call’ Special Editions

To mark the end of an era for the Dodge Challenger and Charger, the American manufacturer produced various special editions, ranging from the monster Challenger SRT Demon 170 to the Charger King Daytona.

A range of engines were available, one of which was the 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 engine. The Challenger is no more, but the Charger will return with turbocharged V6 power and, as an all-new electric muscle car, the Charger Daytona SRT.
