We don’t just love vehicles of the four-wheel variety here. We also love a good motorcycle, and in some ways, it provides more thrills and spills than its counterparts with four wheels.

They allow you to experience the world to its entire degree, and they can be fast and powerful, too. We’ve collected ten of the best motorcycles money can buy and grouped them into this list, showcasing what we think are the best of the best right now.

While many might prefer an American or Japanese bike, there is no denying how good the BMW K 1600 GT is. In fact, it could be the best cruiser bike ever made, as well as one of the sportiest to grace the roads.

The K 1600 GT has a massive 1,649 cc inline-six engine, offering up to 160 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque. The bike also has a shaft drive, electronic suspension adjustment, and a unique Dueloever front suspension. It’s fast, comfortable, and a dream in the corners.

Honda is one of the best manufacturers of motorcycles. Their bikes look great, ride great, and provide excellent reliability. The current Gold Wing is the culmination of four decades of evolution, making it one of the greatest ever made.

Some of its key attributes are its impressive 42 MPG and its price of just below $30,000. Power comes from a 1,833 cc flat-six engine, which is one of the smoothest ever to grace a two-wheel machine.

Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS

Kawasaki also knows a thing or two about producing a fine motorcycle. The Concours 14 has a transverse-mounted 1,352 cc DFI DOHC liquid-cooled inline-four between its frame. An engine straight from its monstrous ZX-14R sportbike.

That engine makes 158 horsepower, ensuring the Concours 14 is no slouch. Yet it’s not overwhelmingly powerful either, and it can be utilized when it wants to be without you feeling like you’re going to be thrown off the bike.

Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak

No list of exceptional bikes would be complete without something from Ducati. The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is an incredible piece of engineering and one of the best-looking bikes on this list. It is an adventure bike that can take on rivals such as the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250.

Between the frame is a mighty 1,158 cc V4 with 170 horsepower and 92.2 lb-ft of torque. This engine revs up to a striking 10,500 rpm, and thanks to its Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires, it has excellent grip, too.

Harley-Davidson Road Glide Limited

For those seeking an American motorcycle for the open road, few can look past the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Limited. And the 2024 edition might just be the best yet.

The Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine powers the motorcycle, which is exceptionally comfortable and has a frame-mounted fairing. With 76.3 horsepower and 108 lb-ft of torque, it strikes the perfect balance of performance and comfort for long-distance riding.

Indian Challenger

Indian is another staple of the American motorcycle industry. Its bikes are literally perfect for long-distance cruising and for racking up the miles on an epic road trip. The current Indian Challenger, which costs just over $26,000, is no exception to that rule.

With its 1,768 cc PowerPlus motor, it produces just over 103 horsepower. For a long-distance trip, you get 18 gallons of storage, which is incredibly impressive for any motorcycle.

Indian Pursuit Dark Horse

Another of Inidian’s excellent offerings is the Pursuit Dark Horse. This costs a little more than the Challenger, with the current MSRP at $35,999, but you certainly get a lot for your nearly $36,000.

Packed between the frame is an excellent PowerPLus liquid-cooled 18 ci V-Twin engine. This remarkable engine makes 122 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque, meaning there is plenty of grunt as you set off from a red light. Like the Challenger, the Pursuit Dark Horse is a very comfortable two-wheeled machine.

If you are on quite a tight budget, there are some excellent motorcycles for sale. So, if you are looking to spend less than $15,000, you should take a good look at the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Adventure.

This bike easily handles tarmac roads but is equally at home on more complex, off-the-beaten-track paths. Its engine produces plenty of power, the bike has a 280-mile range, and it has 37 liters of storage space—perfect for weekend adventures!

Of all the bikes on this list, the fearsome Suzuki GSX-S1000 GT is possibly the most aggressive-looking. Its roots lie in the original GSX-R sports bike, which has evolved into this utterly perfect cruiser.

Power comes from its fuel-injected inline-four, which produces 150 horsepower and 78 lb-ft of torque. The ride height is an impressive 31.9 inches, and it is something of a cross between a sportbike and a tourer.

BMW R 1300 GS

If you are looking for adventure from BMW but don’t want to spend over $30,000, then you might want to consider the BMW R 1300 GS. This simple but rugged machine is excellent for off-road adventures, and it has the perfect power from its 1,300 cc Boxer engine, which produces 145 horsepower and 113 lb-ft of torque.

The range is also impressive. The 5.0-gallon fuel tank allows for 58.9 MPG combined and an estimated range of 294 miles. At less than $20,000, the R 1300 GS is an adventure bike bargain.
